Statues, Busts and Memorials
There are many existing tributes to RJ including statues in Stoke-on-Trent and at Solent Skies museum in Southampton; busts at Southampton University and the RAF Club, London, and a memorial stone on the site of the Supermarine works, Woolston. On 15 September 2005, a new statue, funded by the Sidney E Frank Foundation, was unveiled at the Science Museum, London.
Films and Documentaries
In 1942 a film "First of the Few" dramatised RJ's life starring Leslie Howard and David Niven. Since there have been various documentaries including "RJ Mitchell - Aircraft Designer" in 1995 and more recently, as part of the Local Hero series, "Saviour of the Skies".

Awards, Lectures & Scholarships
Mitchell Scholarships in Aeronautical Enginnering are awarded at Southampton University, which, along with Stoke-on-Trent, is the venue for the RJ Mitchell Memorial lectures.
